MercuryGate / Infios alternative

MercuryGate is enterprise. Keelway is the inbox.

MercuryGate — now Infios under Körber — is enterprise multimodal TMS. It's real, deep software for shippers and large 3PLs that need ocean, air, parcel, and ground in one platform. For domestic-truckload brokerages, it's usually overkill. Keelway is the opposite shape: a thin, focused AI layer for carrier-email triage in Gmail. Different leagues, different jobs.

Two distinct buyer questions

  • Multimodal enterprise TMS — MercuryGate / Infios, Oracle TMS, Manhattan, BluJay (now E2open). Big commitments, multimodal coverage, enterprise-tier implementation.
  • Domestic broker inbox AI — Keelway. Gmail, $1/load, every feature included, ships in two weeks.

Most brokerages searching for a MercuryGate alternative are actually answering one of those questions, not both. We'll be honest on a call about which one you're really asking.

When MercuryGate / Infios is the right call

  • You need multimodal TMS coverage (ocean, air, parcel, ground, intermodal) in one platform.
  • Mid-market or enterprise scale and budget for a five-to-six figure annual TMS commitment.
  • You have the team and timeline to run an enterprise implementation.

When Keelway is the right call

  • You're a domestic-truckload broker; multimodal isn't core to your book.
  • Inbox triage is the actual bottleneck — 40 carrier replies per posted load.
  • $1/load pricing fits your stage better than enterprise SaaS.

For a lighter TMS that pairs naturally with Keelway, see the Tai, Rose Rocket, or Aljex integration pages.

Frequently asked questions

What is MercuryGate and what changed with the Infios rebrand?+

MercuryGate has been one of the larger enterprise multimodal TMSs for over two decades — strong in shipper-side and 3PL deployments with deep features for ocean, air, ground, and parcel. Körber Supply Chain acquired MercuryGate and rebranded the broader logistics-software portfolio to Infios in 2025. The product itself is still the same MercuryGate platform; the name and corporate parent changed.

Why look for a MercuryGate / Infios alternative?+

Three patterns: (1) Pricing — MercuryGate's published-range pricing for the user-count tier (reportedly $500–$40,000/month plus enterprise implementation $5K–$50K+) puts it firmly in the enterprise band, beyond what most SMB brokerages can absorb. (2) Scope — multimodal complexity is a strength for shippers and 3PLs but overkill for a domestic-truckload-focused brokerage. (3) Inbox-AI gap — MercuryGate is TMS-side, not inbox-side; the carrier reply triage problem still falls on the broker.

Is Keelway a MercuryGate alternative?+

Indirectly. Keelway is not a TMS replacement — we're a focused AI inbox layer. If MercuryGate is too heavy for your brokerage, the right TMS replacement is usually Tai, Aljex, Turvo, or Rose Rocket; Keelway then runs on top of whichever you pick. If you keep MercuryGate / Infios for enterprise multimodal needs, Keelway can also sit on top for the inbox layer it doesn't deeply own.

Can I run Keelway and MercuryGate together?+

Yes. Keelway is TMS-agnostic. We integrate via API or email-based handoff with MercuryGate / Infios records. Your enterprise TMS workflow doesn't change; your brokers get the inbox-side AI layer they didn't have.

How does pricing compare?+

MercuryGate's reported pricing band is $500–$40,000/month per user count, plus implementation services at $5K–$50K+. Keelway is $1 per load, every feature included, first 50 loads free, no per-seat or platform fees. Different jobs at very different price points.

What if I'm a shipper, not a broker?+

Keelway is broker software — built for the brokerage workflow of posting loads, getting carrier replies, and triaging them in Gmail. We have nothing for shippers. MercuryGate / Infios is genuinely a fit for shippers needing multimodal TMS coverage.

When is MercuryGate still the right call?+

If you're a mid-market or enterprise 3PL with multimodal complexity (truckload + LTL + intermodal + air + ocean + parcel), need deep enterprise features, and have the budget and team to run an enterprise TMS, MercuryGate / Infios remains a serious choice. The inbox-triage problem doesn't go away — Keelway still adds value on top — but the TMS spine itself is appropriate.

MercuryGate is multimodal. Keelway is the inbox.

Different leagues. Both can run together if needed.
