Tolls auto-attached to the load that ran through them.
Toll spend is small per transaction but cumulative — a multi-state OTR carrier easily clears $20-50K a year per truck in tolls. The carrier that doesn't attribute tolls to the right load eats them; the carrier that bills them back per the rate confirmation recovers margin. Keelway pulls Bestpass natively, attaches tolls to active loads automatically, and surfaces the per-agency breakdown for billing.

Frequently asked questions
Which toll providers does Keelway integrate with?+
Bestpass is the day-one integration with API sync. Other providers (PrePass, Drivewyze for bypass, EZ-Pass directly) work via CSV upload. Bestpass is the dominant provider for multi-state carrier fleets, which is why it's first.
How does auto-attach work?+
Each Bestpass toll transaction includes a timestamp and a toll agency. Keelway matches the timestamp against active loads for that truck — the toll attaches to whichever load was running through that geography at that time. Tolls become a per-load cost component visible on the load card.
What does the per-agency breakdown show?+
Total tolls by toll agency (Florida Turnpike, NY Thruway, PA Turnpike, IL Tollway, etc.) for the period. Lets controllers spot lane-pricing anomalies and supports broker accessorial billing where the rate-con includes toll pass-through.
Can tolls be billed back to brokers?+
Yes when the rate confirmation includes toll pass-through language. Keelway flags rate cons with toll pass-through during AI extraction and surfaces the captured tolls for inclusion on the invoice. Where rate-cons are all-in (toll absorbed by carrier), the tolls show as a cost component on the load and feed broker profitability reporting.
